Research Assistant Professor/s in Tissue Engineering / Biomedical Engineering

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor/s in the School of Biological Sciences, CUHK, to commence as soon as possible. The appointment will initially be made on a one-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a relevant PhD degree in biomedical engineering or a related field. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential. Prior academic background in tissue engineering, biomaterials, microfabrication and micropatterning and mechanoregulation will be an advantage. Candidates should have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and an excellent command of English.

The appointee is expected to teach undergraduate courses in biomedical engineering, such as cell and tissue engineering, biomaterials and biomedical engineering. The candidate is also expected to supervise undergraduate student projects and research postgraduate students. Administrative works which promote the educational mission of the University will also be required.
